My alarm didn't ring

On iOS 26 and later, open Settings › Apps › Toxic Alarm and make sure alarms are allowed. Then open Toxic Alarm and switch your alarm back on, because an alarm that couldn't be scheduled is turned off automatically. Alarms then ring even in Silent mode and Focus.

On iOS 18 to 25, alarms are delivered as notifications, so Silent mode and Focus can quiet them. Allow notifications for Toxic Alarm, keep the ringer on, and turn off Focus overnight.

How does “snooze and they get meaner” work?

Roast Me alarms start Mild. Each snooze brings the next ring back harsher: Medium, then Savage. From the third snooze, your bully starts counting your snoozes out loud. Tap Stop and tomorrow starts mild again. Custom messages don't escalate: they say exactly what you wrote, every time.

My custom message sounds different from the bully's voice

Custom messages are spoken by a voice generated on your iPhone. On iPhone 14 and newer, and on iPhone 12 Pro and 13 Pro models, it's usually your bully's own voice. Other iPhones don't have enough memory for that, so they use a built-in iOS voice instead.

The bully's voice is only generated while the app is open. If you leave the app before it finishes, or your phone is low on memory, you'll hear the built-in voice until the next time you open the app.

How do I share a roast?

Open the Roasts tab and tap a roast to open it. Tap the share button in the top-right corner to send it as a video, or tap Save Video to save it to Photos. Roasts are added to this list when they play on the in-app alarm screen, so open the app (or tap the alarm notification) when it rings.

How do I delete my data?

Everything lives on your iPhone, and we never receive a copy. Swipe to delete alarms or roasts, or delete the app to remove all of it from your iPhone. Your iPhone's own backups (iCloud Backup or a computer) may still hold older copies. See the Privacy Policy.
